Possible to log oil temp and pressure via OBDII port?

I have an '02 Z06. Is it possible to log oil temp and oil pressure via OBDII port with the android/apple Torque App?

I can't seem to get a reading for Oil Temp or Oil Pressure. I get the coolant temp, trans temp, rpm, etc. just fine. Also the oil temp and pressure I can log fine on my C6 and other cars.

Any ideas? Or is the C5 just too old and doesn't have that capability via the ODBII port?

Thanks for the help.

ALL LS Sensor data is able to be logged via serial data line.
You just need to put the correct PID in your scanner to view it.

My cheep O ACTRON Scanner can see any pid I put in it.

whats the PID for the oil temp and oil pressure?

Each scanner has a master list of PIDs. Most are self explainatory. Look in the owners/operators manual for your Android/Apple Torque App and it should show you how to put the PIDs where they need to be to display that data.

Yes the Torque App allows you to input custom PID's to monitor however you must know what the PID value is in order to do that.

Anyone happen to know what the PID value is for oil temp and oil pressure?

anyone?

:lurk:

There has to be a master list of all the PID's somewhere.

yeah thats what I was thinking

I am able to log oil pressure with EFILive (calcPID) on my 2000. I'll look up the PID and calc later tonight. I don't believe oil temp is available.

Here's what I'm doing:
return pid("EOPS")*32-16;

I believe EOPS is in volts and I'm using x32 - 16 for scaling. Its probably not perfect but its close.

unfortunately those posts don't have the info for these values. I talked to Froggy47 who made that one post and he said he never got it to work either.

Thanks for helping out! So in the Torque App it requires the PID value be defined as a HEX value.

Any idea how 'EOPS' would translate to the HEX value?

here is a video that shows the fields to complete in the Torque App:

Oil temp is 015c. Standard OBD2. I haven't found oil pressure yet.
