Besides LT5 letters, does it show anything substantial? Can anyone glean anything from the 1 dimensional pic that might point to specs, etc.?!

if it's a valve cover, it's DOHC. So yeah, I guess they're not going to use LT4 covers on the LT5

I think the leak from months ago mentioned the LT5 would be a DOHC.
I also believe if this photo is genuine it confirms the unveiling of the Corvette (not just the Caddy) is very close.

It doesn't look "finished" enough to be the cover.....just sayin'.

I don't think it's a valve cover because it doesn't have the spark plug holes in the center & looks too wide. It would be about time that they brought a DOHC back, though...

Dear lord man, the photo is cropped. You can clearly see at least two spark plug holes. The photo was intendedt o show the LT5 lettering.

why would the spark plugs have to go through the center of the valve cover?

If the LT5 is truly an OHC setup, it would have 4 valves per cylinder. The 4 valves take up a lot of realstate in the combustion chamber leaving the center of the head the ideal spot for it to be positioned, hence the need for it to go through the valve cover.

I was hoping the ZR1 would have the new LT5 DOHC engine vs. the LT4 with a bigger supercharger. If it is the latter,...you can get that now with a Callaway 757 Z06.

All I can say gang, without any more detail, THAT IS FROM THE CAR...where it is, etc etc etc I cannot answer to protect the sender.

I was told its a supercharger car,(which most of have thought) but we will all wait for the official GM announcement , specs and so forth!

Hi Rick - We already suspected it being supercharged, from the track testing videos. But what about if it were DOHC?
