Transmission swap and now I have O2 sensor problems
Hello all,
I had my transmission swapped recently on my 97 C5 and right afterwards I have had to replace O2 sensors a few times. Any ideas on what was not installed right when they did the transmission? I have not had the check engine light or O2 sensor issues at all prior to this. I have a Borla XR1 catback, oem headers and cats. Thanks dudes:cheers: |
To take out the trans they had to remove the exhaust.
When they did they might have gotten grease or anti-seize on the 02 sensors filament. |
Thanks, the sensor has been replaced once now that she is all back together and the check engine light for the O2 sensor is back on. So something must be incorrect in the reassembly after the trans install

How's it running? Maybe they crossed the wires left to right; very common error.

^Very possible.
Didn't think of that. |

It's running ok, I would not say it is running rough. It is the P0153 code, from doing some searches, passenger side, pre-cat sensor. I think 97s have an extra sensor than other years |

Also check to see if the wire harness came loose from the clips and got burned.
