ECS introduces Vortech/Paxton's new F1X/F2 KILLER! Known as the V15 & the V17-2500 HP
1 Attachment(s)
These head units were specifically designed to fit in the Corvette platform, Paxton asked us for a set of brackets during the design process so it is a tailored fit.
THEY BOLT RIGHT INTO OUR EXISTING BRACKETS! New All Billet gearcase from Vortech Superchargers. New internal designed gear set to handle the stress loads of up to 2500HP. Able to bolt into existing V-1, V-2, V-3, V-7 / 1200, 1500, 2200HD, 2200R/X bracket designs. Specifically targeting the LS Corvette applications and Hot Rod Market. Compressor stages from 1000HP- 2500+HP. Designed as the F1X/F2 Killer V-17 - 1500-2500HP V-15 – 1000-1500HP Basically these are using the same billet gear case, the V-15 has a slightly smaller mounting point for the valute to bolt onto, while the V-17 can handle a larger valute and impeller. Both are able to handle the power that they can produce. I will personally be doing a ton of track R&D come spring time on these from the ground up so you have all the info you need to spec your desired build without guess work. You will not be required to figure out how far you can go on each belt size like some manufacturers do, we will let you know our experience on how far each unit can go on a ten rib rib belt HP wise, and what will will be needed to take you to those upper numbers as well. This is something that I am personally very excited to test out, Paxton typically rates their HP numbers a little lower than they actually produce so we'll see how far we can go on the V-15 then start with the V-17. I'm even pulling my personal vehicle out of hibernation to get some solid results from more of a purpose built vehicle so they are more cut and dry. If the results are not as expected, which I doubt highly, I'll post that too. However from everything I have seen flow chart wise, and the craftsmanship of the blower itself, I'm very confident that as far as the big boy blowers go in Corvettes.... Move over Procharger, there's a new sheriff in town!! :yesnod::yesnod::yesnod::yesnod::yesnod: |
Badass... Look forward to some data

wonder if they upped the step up ratio in the case, that is one nice thing about the f series is you can run a big ass pulley on them and make a lot of power. Granted when I had a 2200X I made 11xx rwhp on a 2.75 w/ your bracket, griptec pulley w/ no slip but would be nice to see them do a more aggressive ratio in the case.

ttt
Doug cant wait to see some track time.

Niceeee

Would you say a V15 would be a better choice over the existing 2200R? And if you need a car for high DA testing on a 416 I'd be happy to help. ;)

Need some info on cfm and if its street able and what is the gear ratio on those
|
How much?

Here is a comparison of the V-17 to a NOVI 1500.
|
3.45 step up ratio, same as the 2200R/X.
|
I feel violated. I just bought a 2200X from you guys and Chris didn't mention there would be something better around the corner :(

What about impeller speed? 65k?
Correct, to start anyway. |
Doug, so are these units just bigger than the current lineup or are the wheels a better and more efficient design? It would be great if it was the latter as it's got to help with packaging!
I'm also guessing the are straigh cut gears only? |

We had no idea if the project was going to be carried out at all let alone when, sorry about that! It will still be a little while until they are available too. I'm sure we can work something out for you though if you would the V-15, call us.

Nice

I’m seeing the v15 in my future! Any idea when they will be available? I’m assuming there will be a black powdercoated option as well?

I would assume so, but often the first run is polished from them. I was told they would be in production at the beginning of the second quarter. |
