Upgrade 2016 to 2018 improvements ?
How much work and cost is involved to update a 2016 to 2018 technical improvements... cooling, PDR etc.

Don't waste your time. Find a left over 17 or 18. Good deals out there.

Also, the 18 has a better track display than the 17.

The only major change between the 16 & 18 is the taller lid and different bricks on the supercharger, which makes cooling on the track better. So if you're going to track the car, I would recommend the 18. If you are not going to track the car, you will never notice any difference between the two model years because the changes do not affect performance -- only cooling under extreme conditions.

I did own a 2016 Z06 A8, it overheated and pissed me off, so i sold it after 4000 miles where 2000 miles where track related. Did 100 laps in two days on SPA :D I have a 2016 Z06 M7, MSRP 111k and can buy it for 75k and dealers has 2018 Z06 M7 with MSRP in range of 95-99k for sale at around 81-82 k But it seems the best road is to buy a 2018.....:thumbs: IF i can get a right spec to the right price :cheers: |
Before you go too far you should make sure that the 2018 really has fixed the overheating problems. No sense going thru all that just to be disappointed again. Maybe somebody here that has a 2018 can respond.
