EFI Gold Box
 

Just order a EFI Gold box for my turbo c5.. Just wondering if I can use my MacBook Pro for the tuning software? Or do I need a window computer? Thanks

I partitioned mine to run windows system also. BOOTCAMP was the program that set it up, came installed on the computer. Now I can start my Mac with windows for tuning (I use EFILive).

Does the Gold Box handle drive-by-wire throttle?
Does it just plug in where the stock PCM was, or does it need a new wiring harness?

Gold box does do Drive by wire. I just order the harness with the gold box.. Save time from ripping apart the stock harness and used what I need.

Thats a new one to me. As far as I know, the gold box has never done DBW and they have claimed in the past that it never will.

Sorry I misread the post.. Gold box only does drive by cable.. But Im running my stock computer so I can keep my cluster working. So I have the stock PCM work the drive by wire and has the gold box work everything else.
