My Order Went to 3000

I called my dealer today just to check in and he was in the process of reviewing orders. He said 6 were picked up and all showing at status 3000 as of today. Weird thing to him was none of the Orange cars got picked up. It was all other colors including mine which is WGG. I assume there are others at this point as well?

Revised: see post 21

Congrats.....it's on the way to become reality.

So jealous. I keep hoping I'll hear something from my dealer. I thought that Thursday was when the first monthly allocations would be released?

That's VERY exciting! Keep us posted within this thread.

My dealer states he has allocation for (2) 2019 vettes and will know tomorrow if my placed ZR-1 order is picked up in this first round.

Orange may be on constraint.

My car went 3000 today too. Not Orange.

Exciting.

As it turns out they did get 1 Orange car but it did not have the X Package. None of their X package Orange cars were picked up. They ordered 4 of them. See my Order below. Pretty standard not going to be a track car. WGG metallic. Order Number: VTNX2G

Excellent! BTW, I may have missed it but are you keeping the C6? Hope so.

Right now that is my plan. Couldn't get a good price for it thru a dealer anyway. It only has 3,100 miles. I'm planning on doing a lot better with the new one. lol

My order is also confirmed at 3000 via the NCM. A relative of mine has an order placed in another state (#3 on dealer's priority list) and his order is also at 3000 as of today. How did my order, the OP's dealer's 6 orders and at least 3 orders at another dealer all get picked up this early? Not to mention there are likely several if not a lot more advanced to 3000 than the ones mentioned on this thread.

I was of the understanding that no orders would advance past 1000/1100 status until Jan 25 at the earliest. Can an order make 3000 and sit for months without advancing to 3300 and receiving a TPW?

Definitely not complaining but something doesn't seem right about all of this....

Good for you also. In response to your question, there is no set amount of time between being status 3000 and moving forward from there. Could be super quick; yet orders can go into hibernation for a while at status 3000.

Thanks, fingers crossed all of these orders get TPWs sooner rather than later! Does 3000 mean your order is free of constrained options and you don't need to worry about that anymore?

AZ Car Guy 01-17-2018 03:31 PM

This was my thought too. At my dealer, they said they were only expecting one allocation on the first run and I was #2. I was picked, and the other was not as of last night. possibly several dealerships did not have their orders in and the orders that were in had some build constraint.

second question: any idea when the first run will be built?

NCM (along with other sources) have confirmed target production start of the first week of March. Really hope that holds true

The 3000 status does trigger certain actions, for instance, if you have chosen the PBC engine build option, the NCM is notified and they contact you to make arrangements to build your engine.

Poor-sha 01-17-2018 05:09 PM

Any idea when we'll start seeing constraint reports?

MustOBeenYellow2015Z 01-17-2018 05:39 PM

If you don't mind me asking what is color, options of everyone that went to status 3000? My sales guy put my order in Monday evening / night & he just texted me that my order went to status 2000 (on work bench i'm "priority 2"). Just curious (fingers crossed) if my order will go to 3000 in the first round of production.

mikelj 01-17-2018 05:59 PM

I was told by my dealer not to expect any quick status changes since I selected the PBC engine build option. It will take many months of engine assembly at the PBC before they will allow customers to do that. It is a definite constraint.
