American Racing Headers
Hi All,
Will these ARH 84134300LSTNC fit my 1991 A4 stock, with no issues? and will they be compatible with 3'' Borla exhaust system? (or other brand) Appreciate the feedback. |
Anyone?

I can't answer your question, but no one would know better than ARH. I would give them a call directly and talk with them.
When I installed the ARH headers on my 96 I called them with several questions and they tried to help out. |

I might be wrong, but when I bought my ARH headers for my 84, they had only one fitment for all the years, L98 through LT1. As mentioned, check with ARH.

Contacted ARH and they informed me that their headers (C4-84134300LSTWC) won’t be a direct fit and that it requires some modifications, I requested some more details and waiting for the reply. If any one can shed some lights on the same that would be helpful as I’m gonna order them for overseas. And returning is not an option if they didn’t fit! TIA |
My headers didn't come with instructions, so they assume you have some Hot Rodding capabilities.
They also lacked in giving me the header bolts, spacers for AC, dipstick. But they gave you decent gaskets to mount to the heads and the fit and finish was very good. So with that I don't know the difference between bolting the headers on an LT4 vs L98. My catalytic converters were mounted further back than stock requiring me to make heat shields (ARH said that it doesn't need shielding if you can put a finger between the cat and the floor, I did not agree). Overall good headers with plenty of clearance but you will have to think out of the box as they are not a direct replacement. I don't think any header manufacturer is a true direct bolt on. Hope this helps. |

I bought headman headers. The "fitment issues" required me to almost beat one of the pipes coming of a cyclinder, almost flat.

thanks appreciate the feedback 👍🏻 Ill do some more research until I hear from them again, and look at other brands if any that might fit the ride. The headers bolted to the engine easily and it has no clearance issues (no banging on pipes necessary) other than the cats were too close to the floor. For difficulty installing them on an LT4 from 1 - 10 (10 being the easiest 1 being the hardest), I give them a 6. |
Thanks for the info 👍🏻 I came across Hooker headers also while reading old posts here in CF any feedback on those? And if I’m thinking of adding some bolts on mods, what size is more suitable for the ride: 1-3/4” X 1-7/8 primaries and 3” Xpipe or 1-3/4” primaries and 2-1/2” Xpipe with no cats Borla sys. TIA  |
Don't forget, with many headers, you must make a spacer to rebolt some brackets
