Wow, I really like what this guy did to his C7!

It's got a Lamborghini Aventador front end bumper! I found this on Instagram when Corvettes world posted this. There calling it Corvette Aventador. I would really like to know who the owner of this car is and who did the custom work to it. And if it's an OEM front bumper?? Or an aftermarket or off of a kit car replica? If it's Lamborghini OEM this thing would be insanely expensive not to mention the fabrication and modifications to get it to fit! I'm sure there's gonna be people on here who aren't going to like it or say it's got an identity crisis. Me personally I think this looks cool I would love to do this to my grand sport !

Telepierre 01-26-2018 06:56 PM

I like it too but I would be concerned on whether the car breathes correctly as well...

GrandSport223 01-26-2018 09:50 PM

Yea I was wondering that also..

 Schizo. NO thanks. :yesnod:

ojm 01-26-2018 11:55 PM

If I spend 80 grand be worried of changes but looks neat.Up here a Lambo is 500k easy.

R8Z51 01-27-2018 02:16 AM

Not my cup of tea.:ack:

Kevin A Jones 01-27-2018 03:38 AM

I'm satisfied with the way GM designed my GS. If I wasn't I would have bought something I was satisfied with.

I'll always be a fan of Lamborghini. There just way too damn expensive for me. In my opinion this is what General Motors should've done to the Corvette. And really is it that much different looking than the ZR1?
assuming some people on here don't like the looks of ZR1 either.

dvilin 01-27-2018 09:20 AM

Hard to decide would like to see it up close but at first glance not all bad.

CP 01-27-2018 09:23 AM

I wonder if it has Lambo doors.

GrandSport223 01-27-2018 09:29 AM

I'm wondering if this picture might be Photoshop ? Wouldn't an Aventador front and bumper be wider than a C7 Corvette I would think? How did he get that to fit so well?

My thoughts exactly on all the C7'S .

GrandSport223 01-27-2018 09:38 AM

Don't get me wrong I love the looks of my C7 GS as well. I just think this would be quite an attention grabber when you pull into a car show or gas station! 😎

If he used an OEM Aventador nose, Carbon Fiber is easier to cut and shape than molded ABS.
There isn't a lot of plastic body parts on a Lambo like a Chevrolet.

DWS44 01-27-2018 10:02 AM

"Corventador" :lol:

Kidding aside, that actually looks pretty cool, IMO! Would love to see more high-res pics. Looks like it was very well done and fits the overall lines of the car better than I would have thought. If it were me, I would have wanted to find a way to remove the Lambo emblem from the nose and graft in the Vette emblem somehow.

blueray16 01-27-2018 10:48 AM

I suspect that swapping the new ZR1 bumper onto Z06 /GS will be a popular option to increase air flow/cooling. Once they become available.

:iagree: Was wondering the same! Much easier than doing it in reality! Everything can be made to fit so easily!

GrandSport223 01-27-2018 11:31 AM

Yea I like the looks of the new ZR1. I'm not 100% sure but I think the front end on the ZR1 is wider than the normal Z06/GS? Or at least that's what I read

Corgidog1 01-27-2018 11:35 AM

The thing sticking out of the center of the bumper totally ruins it.

You'll about have to graft the entire front end to do so. The fenders were redesigned for widebody w/o spats which would keep the ZR1 front bumper from aligning with existing fenders. Also, the body lines of the new hood extend down into the new nose, which would keep the nose from aligning with the body lines of the existing hood.

GrandSport223 01-27-2018 12:52 PM

Are you talking about the ZR1? If so I agree... but they obviously did that so it cools the rads better.

GrandSport223 01-27-2018 12:55 PM

That's a lot of money and work to put into just to make your C7 look like the new ZR1. Hopefully they'll be manufacturers that will make aftermarket front bumpers just like that so it will fit the existing Z06 and Grand Sport.

Steve Garrett 01-27-2018 01:17 PM

This picture is definitely PhotoShopped. But if you look at the new ZR1, you see Aventador in the nose anyway!!

ONENATION 01-27-2018 01:20 PM

Only to another Corvette person. Nobody else would know. It looks like a ZR1.

MCK_Z06 01-27-2018 03:57 PM

Looks similar to the C7 Gran Veloce Front Bumper to me.

383vett 01-27-2018 05:13 PM

I like it. Looks nice

lakemg 01-27-2018 06:58 PM

Not for me...kind of analogous to putting a Corvette front bumper on a Pontiac Solstice...

Maxie2U 01-27-2018 09:45 PM

I like it.

I wonder if that front fascia will be specfic to the ZR1, or if all 2019 models will get the change?

Gag me with a spoon. :ack:

Crazy Cowboy 03-03-2018 06:00 PM

I could definitely make this bumper. Was considering something similar to this on the C67 conversion lower bumper but not a direct copy of the Lambo. Number of ways to do it but I think it would only take a day or two to get it fitting / roughed in.

dbirdhouse1 03-03-2018 06:20 PM

sorry for the comparison but.....

.....it's a woman with breast enhancements, hard to take one's eyes off it but you know it's not what it should be, attractive but overdone....I think I'll stop here:D

GrandSport223 03-04-2018 12:32 AM

If you could build a bumper like this I would be very interested in buying it. I think the Huracan bumper might be better suited for the C7.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...5277fa8e26.png
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...2a706e95a4.png

Its got the opening in the front to cool down the rads. I don't know why GM didn't do this to the ZR1. The centre grill to me looks... I don't know... just don't care for it.

No I would never say that. :hide:

I was just pointing out that the big openings in the front are similar. Honda surely copied the ZR1. :flag:

So here's more photos of what the C7 looks like with the Aventador and Huracan front bumper. I made this at a photo copy place here in town

MrGary2011 03-12-2018 01:59 PM

Nice SnowPlow!

GrandSport223 03-12-2018 02:50 PM

The Aventador front bumper is just pasted on I could've shrunk it down a little bit more so it doesn't stick out so much. It's just to give you an idea of what the car would look like with a Lambo bumper. The Huracan bumper looks better. I had to find pictures on the Internet of Lamborghinis facing the same view as the Corvette and try and line everything up. If you don't like it that's your opinion...

Look like inlets for a F-35!

GrandSport223 03-12-2018 09:59 PM

I looked at the original picture I made the photo copy and the bumper actually looks really natural. I think when I took the pic with my cell phone, the bumper seems huge. Maybe it's just the phone camera. It definitely looks way more exotic and aggressive then the boring gril on the stock OEM Corvette.
