Why did GM elect to use forged aluminum wheels on the ZL1 camaro and non forged aluminum wheels on the corvette Z06?

Guessing it has something to do with impact on cost (MSRP). With the ZL1 coming in around $61K and the Z06 coming in around $80K, there's just more room to play in with the camaro and keep costs in a generally acceptable range.
