ME :) I will have to go over 2 weeks early and get some expert instruction around that monster! We really want to do well and since it is a track that needs expertise, I will have to learn quickly. So working on a Simulator and a local expert will be advised as well.

i was gonna say, get a bunch of seat time in iRacing.
we all know the driver is just as important as the car if not more in RR. and at the ring track knowledge is even more crucial to your time. |
Glad we could help with the build Lou! The Essex/AP Racing team is looking forward to seeing what kind of lap you can lay down. Have fun and be safe over there!

Hi Lou,
I recommend that you contact Ross Bentley and ask about the trip that he has planned to the Nurburgring:D Info@SpeedSecrets [info@speedsecrets.com] |
Lou,
i like the looks of this package even better than the new ZR1. i think new zr1 looks a little silly with its batman wing compared to this hansom machine. id love to see the two head to head in testing! |

Agreed. I know you're an accomplished racer Lou, but I am curious if any CFD analysis was done on the aero design? That's the one advantage a big corporation (Chevy) has at their disposal. Or if it was more of a test and tune. Either way, I'm super excited to see it make a go at the 'Ring. Good luck and God Speed!
The dual intercoolers were tested on track up to 103 F in Texas heat using stock hp. This event we had around 800 flywheel hp and never saw over 194 water temp. we don't just use screen for the outlet in the wheel well, we use another manufactures wind tunnel tested wheel well louvers that work. We looked at their wind tunnel results for the louvers, Who said we were dumb :) LG  |
Very cool, thanks for sharing!

I have heard Sabine Schmitz has retired but if not I can't imagine anyone either faster or more experienced on the Ring. And her business is or used to be taking folks around in a Ring Taxi.

https://youtu.be/qnJOC_dDXzM I plan on doing multiple learning experiences to fill in the blanks from my 4 decades of racing. I plan on getting there early plus I have a great simulator coming from Simgear (see below) mention LG and they have some free things to add to the deal. they say the Price is going up 7-8% very soon.
