Thanks for another great thread, Mike! And congrats to Foosh for his new convertible too. And I'm with RKJ-I loved that picture of the red C1 too.
|
Good morning Mike. It looks like a very good week for sales.
Congratulations to Foosh on his new Vette. Since I am a third generation Sooner grad, and our two main rivals' colors are orange, I could not buy a Sebring Orange vette. But it does look great on the Vettes. As usual there were some great throwback photos. I liked this one of this brave young man coming back from Vietnam.:flag: https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...a38ffb3e7c.jpg |
Konner C4
Agreed, had to go with the Malcolm Konner Special Edition C4. With Mike’s persistence and perseverance, Konner could soon be inducted into the NCM Hall of Fame. A small detail, but the black C7 vert, next to the 2018 Foosh Sebring Orange vert on the launch pad at Criswell, has a gray top. That has to be a rare color combination as well. |

Black top
Yup, took a second look and it is now obviously a black top. I was focused on the photo you took from the top of the launch pad in front of your office looking down on both of the foosh C7’s. The sun was hitting the black vert at such an angle that it made it appear gray. Interesting pic of the tread design on the Michelin tire, as well as the all weather testing of the 2019 ZR1’s in the snow. No apparent “melting” of those Corvettes going on in harsh weather conditions! |

Thanks for posting!!!

The two toned C4 was also my favorite because it reminded me of my very first Corvette. A 1985 two toned Black and Gold. I have never seen another one like mine.

Thanks Mike. Just when I begin to think I have seen almost everything you come up with something new. I've never seen or heard of a C1/2 hybrid. Was this developmental testing or did Zora craft it as a race car? Truly unique (to me anyway) and sort of cool looking.

Very nice looking car and good luck with your new 2018 Sebring Orange Corvette. |

All of those are very cool flashback photos...........but one that caught my eye was the Chevy dealership with three 1977 Chevettes parked indoors. NOT the kind of 'Vette that most people would want. Haha!! My mother had a (then new) 1980 Chevette 4dr and I had a (quite used) 1978 Chevette 2dr a few years later. Both of them had no power steering, no A/C, crank windows, AM monaural radio, 4spd manual transmissions and 13-inch wheels. The CHEvette was the polar opposite of the CORvette, I suppose. Haha!! |

Hi Mike, thanks for the great post. You are making it harder and harder to chose. Speaking of harder, these 2 beauties have to be my favorites! Ha!
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...fd65cbca59.jpg |
Oh my...I love the orange/black color scheme! I've really been in love with that combo since the 997 GT3 was released. Thanks for posting, and congrats to both Mike and all the new owners!
|
|
I will have to see one in person before rendering judgment..........but I bet the Sebring Orange will really "pop" on a sunny day.

Good question. I've decided to evaluate the new GM upgraded MSRC calibrations for 1-2K miles to satisfy my curiosity. It's already clear to me that they are less harsh than the OEM FE4 package in my '14. However, I'm almost certain I'll put the DSC back in by late spring, along w/ getting the car aligned at DSC/TPC Racing.

Hey Mike! Nobody seems to have picked up on it, but surely that is you in your black with silver cove '56 with snow tires driving by the mobile home park!!!!! Age 20???

Great pictures Mike. I love the Sebring Orange. I liked the picture of the unrestored 1969 Corvette roadster in white and primer. I had a 69 roadster that was really nice when I was only 21 years old. Thanks for sharing.

Cannot see why they would be cutting WGG! Makes no sense period.
Featured Color on the ZR1 Top seller and best Gray ever! Actually best color they make right now! IMO! But then they will Keep ceramic or some other lessor color! Oh well I have 1 Z06 in WGG and it is yet to catch 1 single chip! |
The Sebring Orange doesn't appear to shine in these pics like the ZR1 at the car show unveil... How does it look in person? I wonder if it sparkles and changes colors like this or only in the auto show lighting, I haven't seen one yet in person:

Sure it does. Here is mine on delivery day, and a couple of days later at home. It does change colors in all different types of light. The first picture is in early morning direct sunlight. The second is in partial sun/overcast at mid-day. The third is in the garage at dusk under fluorescent lights.

Looks good better get some side skirts on it and some GM splash guards of even better the ACS front splash guard. Other wise you get chips on the sides.
You can't see them well, but the ACS splash guards are already on it in the at home photos above, w/ GM splash guards in the rear. I pre-ordered them, and I intended to install them at the dealer upon delivery, but it was too fricken cold that day. They went on as soon as I drove it home from the dealer. XPEL Ultimate will go on within a week or so if my installer can get all the Lambos out of his shop. Skirts will never go on. I do not like them. Narrow-bodies are not nearly as vulnerable to rocker panel chips, and with splash guards and XPEL, I had none on my black 2014, which really shows them. |
Great post as usual. Late to the party but , this one.

Really dying to see this color in person. Can some one please tell me what if any color available right now it resembles. Just saw a Dodge challenger in orange and it was too orange. Is it close to that one?
