Is it just me or is just about every other driver out there wants to RACE. Because it's a Corvette and they think they can win ? Can't a guy/gal just go for a drive and be left alone. I just laugh at most of them. What do you guy's think ?

Maybe it is the color of your car. Mine is arctic white and I haven't been challenged in years.

Usually some yahoo in a pick up truck. No win situation. You race and beat him? Who cares? you beat a pick up. He blows you away? Damn you got beat by a pickup truck. No win.

It's not just you. Thankfully it's not every time I take it out but when it does happen, it can be irritating. I just ignore them for the most part.

I never get challenged. I have noticed on occasion the ricers will stay just behind me left or right side driving down the road.

Not a lot of people around here, and even fewer hot rodders.

But one kid in town wanted to race me a couple of years ago. He had a gigantic beat-up 3-ton pickup that you need an extension ladder to get into, and each wheel probably weighed as much as my car. I just laughed.

He's getting out of jail next month. A real upstanding citizen.

Maybe just Red
 

Maybe because we drive Red car's. I've had other Red car's and thought it was because one was a Red Trans Am the other a Red Formula 455 Firebird.

I point at them and LAUGH. Pisses them off. I then drive away.

Some owners drive a little too slow, some just want to see you stand on it some no big deal
Last diesel I laughed at blew my doors off. bad :lol:


There are some mundane looking cars that are crazy fast never judge a book by its cover

Can't say I have ever been challenged but a buddy of mine with a C4 was getting so much crap from a ricer that he finally just dusted him. Said he couldn't take it anymore so he turned the vette loose, lol

I dont get challenged every time out. Occasionally some kid will. But I usually get sort of acknowledgment. Weather its a thumps up. A "hey nice car!" Or someone staring when Im pumping gas. Thats what I love about the car.

No I don't get challenged probably because I'm usually in congested traffic & no room to go over 60 mph. A tesla did honk at me when I was at light one night & when he took off he left me in his dust !! hard to beat that instant torque ...

I have been known to blow kisses at other drivers who come sniffin' around.

I just ignore them...:toetap:

As for "homo"... I guess I could be. I have a wife and two kids but that could just be a beard.
