Lloyd Mats
Besides a vendor, curious to hear owner’s opinions of aftermarket front floor mays that they bought to replace originals. I realize logo options, etc. but curious about thickness, quality vs originals. Thanks. |
Had the "Luxe" mats in the C6 and while they were nice, as a routine driver I'd go for the Ultimat version if I order for the C7. As for quality, they were great and MUCH better than the factory.
The carpet pile on the Luxe was thick and plush but almost too much so. Yes, that's very subjective but they seemed great for a show but not for everyday use IMHO, showing heel wear that bugged my OCD... Allen |

I love mine...I showed my mats to the Lloyd Mat rep (because of heel indentation) and he made arrangements for me to get a new set.

Great looking, great quality, I'm not currently using them as I've gone with the "GS" mats.

LUXE mats from AutoAnything (20% off and free shipping)

Lloyd’s mats are great and they stand behind their product like nobody else. I had mats in my c6 for 4 years that finally started to show wear around the area where my heal would rest. Sent them a picture and without question had a new set of mats 3 days later. They didn’t even make me return the old ones. Aside from weather tech there aren’t any mats or customer service on the market that compare.

To me, they are a must-have.

Heel marks are the thing holding me back from getting the luxe mats. How bad is the indent/wear from heels as I will not be driving wet weather.

Another option.....coco mats......have had them in 4 cars....excellent and heavy duty. Look good too. www.cocomats.com

Well you can see how much "blacker" they are in picture above. Carpet is more "grayish" or "charcoal".

One of the forum vendors, I think Southern Car Parts, for Lloyds says to order Jet black not ebony for black C7 interiors. Now I am confused.
I also like the Luxe, however feel they belong in a Cadillac. I think the Ultimat is the choice I'm going with on the C7Z. I had their original mats in my C5 vert and they have been great for over 10 years. |
I have the Luxe Mats and you can see the heel mark in the photos. I drive barefoot. Not because I am fearful of having dirty mats, because it provides me a tactile feeling on the throttle and brake. They are so thick that dirt lays on top and doesn't penetrate down to the nap of the carpet material.
If I bought them again I would go with the ebony. It matches better with the car interior and carpet. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...48a5731378.jpghttps://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...bf1e00c551.jpg |
Ultimate for sure. Ordered mine from CCA, a vendor on the forum, great service and you can't beat Lloyds mats.

I would also think if you had an M7, the Luxe mats would show wear a little faster. I wish Lloyds offered a rubber section underneath the pedals (2 or 3) that would prevent this.
