Well, the suburbs, really. Long time Corvette enthusiast, first-time owner. Actually, my 1979 L-82 was my dad's (hence my username), but he passed on and I'm an only child, so...that's how I came across this forum and boy howdy has it been a big help so far. As with most C3's there's a ton of TLC needed and I'm a decent enough mechanic. Dad wanted to sell her when he took ill to help cover his medical expenses, but mercifully it never came to that. I had no plans to keep her until I tried to start her one day and found the battery dead. That got me tinkering and I'm pretty sure I'm going to hang on to her for a while. Dad was fortunate enough to be able to buy one of his dream cars and enjoy it for a few years so she'll always be Dad's Vette. I may be the legal owner, but spiritually she'll always be his. This is a great opportunity for my son and I to spend some quality time wrenching on his Paw Paw's car. Thanks for reading this far, looking forward to getting to know more of you as I take this journey!
