I have the pressure washer and it works great for rinse but the foam container blows.

The pressure washer meets the PSI requirement, but does not meet the GPM requirement. It might not work that well.

You probably need a foam cannon made for low flow electric pressure washers.

I use the same set-up. It works fine. You may have to tweak it a bit, but it's all part of the learning curve. I actually have a gas pressure washer as well, but hauling it out and getting it working is a pain, so I bought the electric one for ease of use.

Guys, I gotta ask. It seems with all the time you have to take setting this all up, isn't is faster and it would seem much easier, using a bucket and hose?

I sent the foam cannon back. Didn't work work worth a crap with my pressure washer. I opted for the foam cannon that attaches to the hose.

Been using a "hose" gun for years....works fine. much easier IMSO.

You forgot the rag. That's the issue. With the foam method, you never touch the paint with a rag, sponge, towel, or whatever you use. That means less damage to the paint. no chance for causing swirls, etc.

Just foam and water will not get a car clean. Any automated car wash that just sprays foam and water leaves a residue that becomes a grit field when you try to dry it! Our paint shop NEVER rscommended any kind of car wash that just foamed and rinsed. But it is your paint.

I love Adams products but there have been many that just make me ask “why?”. This is one of them. For the time it would take me to set up my power washer and the hose, quick connects on the hose saves me a ton of time and I only one tool instead of two.

Silly waste of time if you ask me for the same results from a hose based foamer.

I used a foam cannon w/ an electric and it worked out pretty good. Then I got my new honda powered gas washer and WOW! Now I know what a foam cannon can do... Washed the Corvette & Mustang yesterday when it was 60 degrees and today it's 28 and snowing...

Most foam cannons are the same - it's the pressure washer & soap that make the difference IMO.

Foam guns are a total waste of money IMO. Might as well fill a bucket with soap water and dump it on the car...

Wish that worked on my cars!!! Always have to hand wash after foam, but I also only foam when cars are really dirty or going for ultimate clean.

I am looking into getting a pressure washer and a foam cannon too. But why would you buy such an expensive foam cannon? What does it do special over the Amazon ones (under $20)?

ALso the same pressure washer is available at Lowe's for lesser money...

:iagree: Exactly. Foam cannon isn't a substitute for hand washing - it's only Step 1. Hand washing is step 2. And so on...(depending on how much washing/correction is needed).

I agree, although I've not used either. But my detailer said the foam gun + hose alone "is only a toy." Really need the pressure. Seems that's legit. Just throwing on soap with no pressure doesn't seem to do much more than saving some mitt-dunking time.

Lemme ask this: Is that combination that the OP mentioned enough to clean outside the house, like mildewed roof tiles or even windows?

Also, would a 2000 psi washer do better on the car or is that too much?
