How do you tell a Dana 36 , from a Dana 44

Good morning Forum
How do you tell a Dana 36, from a Dana 44 ?
When I used to build '69 Camaros it was easy to tell a 10 bolt, from a 12 bolt, count the rear cover bolts.
Now that I have my first Corvette ('96 LT-1), I'd like to know what I have.
As always, thank you all in advance for tech advise.

NOTICE THE LOCATION OF THE TOP CENTER BOLT HOLE ON THE DANA 36 THATS NOT ON THE DANA 44 REAR, thats a QUICK WAY TO TELL THEM APART

First image from a Google search. Like 383 said, 36 has a single bolt top center, 44 has 2 bolts.

So, there isn't really an RPO that flat out distinguishes Dana 36 from 44 (best I know, anyway). But here are the rears that the factory provided based on Gear RPOs:

---
G44 - 3.07 Rear Axle Ratio - D36, optional; D44, standard, pre-1992.
G92 - Performance Axle Ratio - Shows performance axle selected.
GHO - 3.54 axle ratio - D44 only.
GM1 - 2.59 Rear Axle Ratio - D36 only.
GM3 - 3.45 Rear Axle Ratio - D44 only.
GU2 - 2.73 Rear Axle Ratio - D36 only.
---
For reference, here's a shot of my SPI card on my 95:

So, D44 with 3.45 (from factory).

Thank you Drew and I. H. B. D.
I'll check that out.
Any idea how much horsepower a Dana 36 , and a Dana 44 can safely handle?
I'd like to boost my LT-1 power by 100-150 horsepower.
I'm not drag racing anymore, but it is fun to go for a rip once in awhile.
