Clutch issue?
Hi i have a 16 m7 zo6 c7r and i notice when i luanch hard i feel the clutch pedal go dowl trowrds the floor about 2 inches after i fully engage the clutch is this an issue or the traction control kicking in ? If anyone has this problem plz let me know

You need to refresh your clutch fluid. Search for Ranger Method on the forum or YouTube. It really does help and is much less expensive than a clutch fluid flush.

Fluid is not so much bad as dirty. It also gets cooked because the line to the slave cylinder is very close to the exhaust.
For the cost of a turkey baster / auto dept syringe and some DOT 4 fluid you can fix the problem or rule out dirty fluid. Less than $15 and an hour of your time. |

Tell them your issue and tell them you suspect the clutch needs bleeding. Your issue is a symptom of a small amount of air in the clutch hydraulic system. :thumbs: |
Traction control doesn't have anything to do with the clutch. There is no control mechanism between the two. The EBCM can request a torque change from the ECM which responds by cutting engine power and if that isn't enough to control the rear wheels it can apply one or both brakes. That is all it can do.
