2020 C8 - Mid Engine Corvette - best guess renderings

A new thread for new renderings. I will post the latest best guess renderings based on C7pimps descriptions and comments here. We worked together to develop the best guess to date of the upcoming C8 - Mid Engine Corvette. I took a little extra time to try and get the best rendering possible working from c7pimps descriptions as well as ZERV's CAD images and all the available mule spy images.

Thanks to all who have contributed ideas, renderings, interest and excitement to the quest including C&D and ACS

This is the first rendering we worked on - Front/nose view. We will work on other views and post as we nail down the details as close as possible.

I know many members have their favorite color so without further ado...

According to C7pimp...this is it!

(more or less)

Enjoy!

I applaud you FVS

For all of your outstanding, hard work here on the forum. Those latest renderings look amazing and I am currently drooling over the red one! Thank you for making this wait interesting, exciting, and less painful lol. You are a true rockstar and of course, can’t wait to see more! Thanks again and keep it up! 👍🏽😃

Very nice:thumbs: Red, gray/silver, or white for me please.

Quinten33 04-17-2018 10:30 PM

Thanks for your dedication and hard work, and C7Pimp’s dedication as well.

This rendering makes me very excited for the C8! The frunk will not be a compromise, which is a big deal to many Corvette owners. As for design, the aerodynamics will be leagues above the C7(round, long, low, and wide are ideal from what I know) and the car will turn heads everywhere you go. I can’t wait to see the rear end!

I think my my favorite part of this rendering is the flat steering wheel :)

C7pimp 04-17-2018 11:04 PM

I'm a sucker for red corvettes but that black is making me drool!!

More to come!

c7pimp, how about one different color for you for every different day of your week...

elegant 04-17-2018 11:10 PM

FVS,

You remain the master renderer! Thank you for all your talent and your time in putting together this latest one. And all those you put together before.

We all are looking forward to you and c7pimp developing a side and a rear quarter view down the road.

Inquiring minds are more than curious!

Looks awesome! That white🏁

Thank you for keeping us entertained on the closest rendering there could possibly be.

looking for a blk with white stripe rendering to match my FGT

I’d hit it.

MotorTrend cover probably closer to what it will look like. Too bad it is DCT only. Would have been the best of both worlds. Maybe they will change their minds in 2 or 3 years. Would not go there until that time anyway. Will need to get the bugs out and wait to see how they improve the car. Very glad to get the last of the M7s this year.

Once again outstanding collaboration on this latest rendering. I know that there are probably other details that will come out as we get closer to the release date that will help in giving us a view of what is to come. Can't wait to see the other profiles you guys are working on. Appreciate your efforts much.

Me, too.

I think this car will finally lure the younger monied enthusiasts into the Corvette tent. I was beginning to worry that the Vette would die off with us boomers. I hope the base C8 will be thousands less than the base 911.

K-TownMike 04-18-2018 05:43 AM

Thanks FVS and C7pimp for your hard work, the renders are really starting to look great.

The duckbill style spoiler seems to be a holdover from the C7. Was hoping they would design something a little more elegant. Is that detail right on the money?

JerriVette 04-18-2018 05:50 AM

Should sell well in asia with that styling.

Not sure about Europe.

Definitely will be a huge hit in America.

Looks awesome...I'd buy this in a heart beat

Well done !

Timz16 04-18-2018 06:57 AM

Wow! This captures Corvette and exotic. If I had my druthers, I hope the hood looks lower in real life final version. Thanks to you and C7pimp for giving us some hope!

Timz16 04-18-2018 07:00 AM

Also, could we see one in black, please? The purple one gives an idea of how black might be.

Ted P 04-18-2018 07:10 AM

nice work. a side view would also be great for seeing the size of the back end and the front and if the car looks "balanced"

IronV 04-18-2018 07:16 AM

Thanks for all your work, FSV. This certainly is light years beyond the Toad on the CD cover. Still concerned about the creeping disease of conservative design, but cautiously optimistic.

Question: After discussions about tall drivers etc, is the greenhouse a bit low?
