Status of my ZR1 build - BAYED

Hello forum members. Any idea what this status stage means? My dealer mentioned it to me today but there weren’t any details given.... thanks

There's some great info here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...explained.html

"Bayed" means the car is built and waiting to be shipped.

great. Many thanks. Any idea how much time from Bayed status to having it shipped to the dealer? 2 weeks?

I don't have first hand experience with it, so I can only speculate based on what I've read here. I think it depends on how quickly they can fill up a truck or train car heading to your region.

There used to be a two week limit on Baying the car. Don't know if this still applies.

Hopefully, your car will leave soon.

Your dealer can activate OnStar (do a search if you need the details), so you can track it on the journey, with a smart phone.

When I was there building my motor i asked if they still held them for two weeks.
They said no two week wait you wait till the truck or train is full going that direction.
I am hoping mine will be here next week.
I am going to call and have dealer activate OnStar and try tracking it.

2019 ZR1 "Bayed"

I received notice on July 27th that my new ZR1 was built and "Bayed, Ready to be loaded on Carrier". It's now August 28th and no one at the factory or my dealership can tell me why it is still sitting in Kentucky more than a month later. Unbelievably frustrating.

That is not good! Can you message some more details like name order or vin? I’ll see if I can find out anything.

Your ZR1 was picked up by the transport company late Sunday night and is on it's way to us.

EXACTLY!!!! I have no problem stalking them down. Make sure to have ONSTAR activated so
you can follow the truck! There is a GM fleet app as well so you know the second it arrives.
Good luck. 👍
