Dual master cylinder pushrod
I’m in the process of doing the Mopar master cylinder conversion on my 61. And I’m thinking about what to do with the pushrod. I’ve looked at the relevant threads, and some of the universal pushrods on the market. I’m thinking that I’ll cut and thread the existing pushrod to 3/8” 24. Then use a fine threaded coupling with a fine thread cat 8 bolt cut to length and rounded on the end. Probably cut a groove for an o-ring to hold it in place. Anyone done it that way?

I modified mine like Charles's drawing, but I see no reason why what you suggest won't work

These are the ones that I made for Bill and myself......Too many dimensions, but you can mix and match as needed. "O" ring should work just as well.

My kit is totally different and worked out great . The adapter tube sits level and uses a master cylinder with 4 mounting holes . Here are some pictures . Hope this helps . I don't like Ecklers kits . I bought their disc brake conversion kit and sent it back .

With the adjustable rod, you can eliminate the tube and end up looking like this... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...fcacda6ff.jpeg |
