Car needs a clutch and I can’t do a jack stand installation anymore. Enjoy part 1 “Corvette Vagabond into the Wild”

Hello to you and your family.

Jack

Just put the LuK clutch in my 62. You'll want to replace the throw out bearing that comes with the kit. It's made of plastic.

Where are you in Maine ? Spent 15 years in Bangor area.

Beautiful day here in Washington today, time for a ride.

Your guy sounds experienced so I'm sure he will replace pilot bushing or bearing while he's at it.

Cheers from the wets coast to you Jack.:cheers:

The all time proven pilot bearing removal tool
1 slice of brown bread and a 10" 1/2" drive extension and your favorite "BFH"

I agree. I admire Jack's rural lifestyle but I can't deal with the winters at this point.

The 'old time' garages here in Florida are going away as subdivisions are crammed into every square foot of wetlands, woodlands or old citrus groves....

When you said "Maine style" I figured it involved a skidder :)

Never judge a book by its cover or an auto shop by its exterior. This is the shop where I take my car for work I can’t do or don’t want to do. The building was originally a machine shop that did work on military aircraft during WW II. It still has some of the original machinery inside. Bruce, the owner and sole mechanic, only works on Ferrari’s, Lambos, and American classic and muscle cars.

The great thing for for me is that Bruce’s shop is only 1 mile from my house.
