Vettes on the rockies-2018

VETTES ON THE ROCKIES IS BACK FOR 2018 AS A NATIONAL EVENT!!!! SPONSORED BY LOOKING GLASS CORVETTE ASSOCIATION & PURIFOY CHEVROLET. I posted a reply last October to a thread from 2014 saying VOTR was a club only event and what a shame it was-correct at the time. My post has since disappeared for some reason. The guy obviously had never planned and executed a 4 day event drawing 400-600 cars. Well, it is a national event for 2018 and will be held in Steamboat Springs, CO at The Steamboat Springs Grand Resort, August 23-26. The planning is approaching its final stages and registrations are still flowing in, but we still have room. Avoid the heat, humidity, and mosquitoes in Carlisle-instead, enjoy the summer weather in the Rocky Mountains.Check it out at lgcacorvette.org. Online registration and PayPal payments are available.

Vettes On The Rockies-2018 is complete. We had 207 cars registered and 373 people at the Grand Resort- 37 clubs from 18 states. Blue skies and 80 degrees was the norm. We're wrapping up the final reports and looking at some of the lessons learned-it wasn't perfect, but the feedback has been extremely positive, from participants and the city. With that said, mark your calendars for August of 2020-we'll definitely move the date so we can attract the major vendors and GM. Competing against Carlisle didn't work.

Hi John,

Our club enjoyed the event. I,too, got positive feedback from our participants. I suspect the LSCC will be back to VOTR.
