I have not bought them for my C7 yet but I had the 19 inch version on my C6

What do u want to know about them ?

If you have a mildly modified car , Headers , CAI tune , they will be find , heat them up , and they stick like glue .

I had pretty good 60ft times with them considering I am just an occasional 1/4 mile racer

Now if you are making more power , have cam , heads , blower ... you might need a tire that has more sidewall

Dave, Thanks for your reply. I'm running 644 rwhp so I'm thinking about running 18" or 19" rear wheels. I can pick up some old C5 Z06 rear rims that are 18X10 1/2. I was just wondering if anyone has tried the new MT ET Drag radials. I have not been able to find any available..

Heat them up real good and they stick like glue ......

Now I just was running a bolt on car ....

I have two good friends that run them, one runs them on his 11 second M6 C6 and the other on his modified A6 CTSV making way more power than me and they both had no problem hooking up with them even though they are 19' so I am confident that going to a bigger sidewall will get you down the track at your power level

Now they do say " Designed for Automatics " and some say you should run Bias Ply for stick cars , I don't know why but all I can tell you is , put heat in them and you will be real happy

BlueDevilZ51, Just got some information from a forum member about the Toyo R888R. I'm not going to beat on my Vette just want better traction. I'm going to pass on the drag radials and buy a set of Toyo R888R's. Going with 245/35/19 on the front and 315/30/20 on back that supposedly fit..:eek: These will be mounted on XO Verona's.. :thumbs::thumbs:

Well, not in a 20" size, but I ran these on my C5.
Many many event wins and track championships with them!

I highly recommend!

I ran these in the 19" size on my C7 at Drag Week last year.

1) Traction isn't any better than the factory MPSS run flats.
2) A little squirrelly at speed (70mph+).
3) Despite the same size specification as stock, they are at least an inch taller. Lower trap speed and effected ET. Speedo off by 2mph.

3,000 miles and 10 passes. Glad to be rid of them.

<shrug> Believe what you want.

The factory tires are very sticky. The advantage the DRs have is longevity at the drag strip. There's only so many burn outs the MPSS will tolerate.

There is no grip comparison argument you could make between MPSS to Drag radials .........

You want to see my 60ft times with NEW MPSS and MT R compound DR ..

1.75 for both. Car is/was essentially stock, just E85.

Man you must have one WELL PREPPED track to get those 60ft times with MPSS street tires as I am here to tell you that is NOT the norm for most...…...

At our track here in Atlanta ( Atlanta Dragway ) is not that well prepped for our Friday Night Test and Tune and the grip has a real bad habit of going away as the night progresses

At least if you have slicks or drag radials they let you line up in the groove , if you have street tires they make you line up outside the groove:(:(

I have so many runs in both my A6 C6 bolt on car and now my A8 C7 where I just blew the tires off it at the starting line with my fairly new MPSS but when I put my drag radials on they stick like glue :thumbs:

So now I just use launch control when I am on street tires but I can see using the PDR in the C7 where the car is pulling power ( a lot of power) just off the line in order to not blow the tires off it
