Now that the C8 is coming out, is the Z going to appear old looking? Or will it remain a classic that people are still drawn to?

I will still be drawn to it as it is the last Corvette that I will ever own and will drive until I can not drive anymore!

I think the C7 design was groundbreaking for GM and I think it will age well. It’s only five calendar years old and to my eyes, still looks very new and modern.
Modern enough where I have a 2019 Z06/Z07 on order. 650 HP, rear wheel drive, front engine, M7. I look at is as perhaps my last chance to own this type of sports car. |
The C7 will take it’s rightful place in history as the model that revived the brand and made the vette cool for a whole new generation of car enthusiasts. I think it will take quite some time before the C7 looks dated. |

http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...psikhabfzp.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps2aojxbx3.jpg Our c7 z06’s are not going to age well. I was out jogging on Saturday , and saw a c7z drive by and 20 minutes later a c6z06 drive by. The c6z looked great , flowing sexy lines and I thought the c7z really looked clunky , big and angular. |
It remains to be answered once the car actually comes out.. no sense of making comparisons to bunch of renderings..

It will go down with the C2 generation as the two generations that age the best. I LOVE the look of this car and always will not matter what comes out. I have no desire to get a mid-engine...it doesn't give me the same feeling as an American V8 front engine. |

if these renderings are accurate for the c8 - I am in. Our c7 z06’s are not going to age well. I was out jogging on Saturday , and saw a c7z drive by and 20 minutes later a c6z06 drive by. The c6z looked great , flowing sexy lines and I thought the c7z really looked clunky , big and angular. |

I seriously doubt the C8 will look that exotic, but I guess only time will tell..

No stroke or health issues or mental issues. the c7 is just one ugly poorly thought out mofo. The “B” team was given the c7 design work. While The “A” team was assigned to work on the c8. |
Um IF that is the C8 and it’s not then YES our C7’s will be WAAAY OUT DATED.
Just sayin. |

:iagree: No one knows for sure what it will look like until it's released.
agreeed , how is the op ask’n about our cars looking old when the final render is not even in production yet! But as w most cars it’ll most def look outdated but as others have stated ot’ll def hold a Visual place for jis about all of the public as i belive it’s look is somewhat ahead of the curve my 0.02cents Neil |
I don't think so. The C7 (esp the Z) was a bold design that really caught on.
Not everything newer is better. I don't like the fine-boned nose delicate little Ferarris they make today, for example. I wouldn't trade you straight across on looks. Is the C7Z the most beautiful car in the world? Probably not, but it's still fresh to me. Now the ZR1 is starting to look a little tacky (to me) with the weird side gills and wing and stuff, but the basic design under all of that is still solid. Won't even mention the fact we're being asked to compare to something that nobody has seen yet. |

and the C6 looks like it was designed in the 80s. So less groundbreaking than the last three gens that replaced the previous. It's really a C5.5. That car aged very quickly. Becaise it's barely different than the C5. Which was leaps and bounds over a C4 which was leaps and bounds over C3 which was and so on and so on. I owned a C6. My first vette. The nicest thing about it was the interior and LS3 that's it. The outside was so boring I completely changed the look to do something about it. |
