Anyone with Cray wheels on their car?
I'm considering buying a set--new--of Cray wheels for my 2012 coupe and upsizing to 19"/20" at the same time. Anyone with Cray wheels out there with an opinion--good or bad--based on your experience with them? I'd appreciate what you have to say. Thanks in advance!

I just sold my Cray Brickyards (18/19) which I ran for over a year with zero complaints. They’re well made and are lighter compared to other similar sized wheels I looked into. I’d still be running them had I not switched to 17” drag radials full time.

Thanks for the info/comment.

I'm sure you're aware of the sale at CARID. Less than 800 bucks for a full set . |
Cray Manta's

Cray Manta's on my '05. Great wheels, run true, balance easily.

Thanks for the response. That silver/bright polished rim combo looks great on your silver car. I'm considering the same silver/bright polished rim combo for my CRM coupe. However, if I pull the trigger, I'm going with the new "Eagle" design wheel. To me it kind of looks like a ZR-1 wheel with a deep rim.

I have Cray's on my 2010 GS. No problems.

had them on my 2000. Just ordered them for my 07 tonight.

Cray spiders here, though 18x9.5 front and 19x11 rear. It was a great update to the car, and I love the more aggressive offsets and increased width over stock. I also run wider tires front and rear (275/295), which really improves the feel for me, and certainly increases cornering speed.
19/20 will look nice (with a drop to reduce fender gap), though your ride quality may suffer over the bumps due to lower sidewall tires. Forum vendor GETYOURWHEELS offers custom finishes, at additional cost. |
Thanks to all for your responses! I'm thinking these are probably the best all-around way to go for price/quality/style.

I'd love to see that measured.
There is also noticeably less understeer with this setup, which might be bad for some since understeer is safer handling characteristic. That's probably part of the reason why these cars have such a large front to rear stagger. Back to the subject at hand, I highly recommend Crays for design options, fitment, price and being relatively light weight. |
