My experience with Jet performance
I bought used DST tuner for my vette. Got screwed.. guy wouldnt return my calls or texts,.. I didnt mess much with him,, he is on here, anyway.. after jet pronounced it dead.. they said send it in. I presumed they were just going to do the right thing and repair it or replace it.. well they wanted a pretty hefty fee so replace it and while I could have bought a used one for less I went with new.
It worked fantastic... sent a tune 9 times over sat and sunday. Wed I go out to do another tune.. nothing.. no lights, no one home. Its on the way back to Jet.. I will let you know what they do. Unfortunately us 96 guys are screwed. Its them or no one as far as I can tell.. EDIT: while its hard to understand all the settings.. it does EVERYTHING possible |
keep me posted, I may end up buying it as well, for the reason you stated, us 96 guys are screwed, DST or nothing.

You deal with the owner in email when you have the DST... he is very direct and to the point. In this case he called it "strange" which concerns me. |
What about LT1 Edit?
Google Ed Wright, hes on speedtalk a lot. |

I see that there was support for the 96's but every time that I try to access a link from that site, it goes to a dead end. Also, there is a disclaimer on the front page that the folks that supply the interface/software are heading for retirement and when their supply of cables is gone, they will not sell any new units.
If you don't have to remain OBDII compliant for EPA checking, converting back to a 94/95 computer opens doors away from the JET unit. |

UPDATE;
They kept testing it and could not get it to malfunction. Received it and plugged it in and the LED lit right up. I havent tried to program yet but looks like its intermittent so it could be trouble. So far Im happy with Jets customer service. Hopefully it works now.. we shall see. |
As noted, I am pretty sure LT1 Edit is essentially no longer offered. I bought the Jet DST setup about 2.5 years ago, and the first one I got didn't work. I troubleshooted it and it was clear that it was the Jet equipment. I contacted them, sent it in, and they agreed that something in the cable box was malfunctioning. They sent a new one without hesitation. They've also responded to a couple tech questions I've had. I've been pleased with their service and responsiveness.

Make sure the contacts in the OBDII port are clean and lined up properly.
