Gentle bump

Do I understand this correctly......you spend $28k on the car, drive it for 1 thousand miles and now want to get rid of it?

Correct. I impulse-bought a McLaren last week...

Sweet car... but we know he doesn't actually wanna sell considering he's asking 49. 39 probably won't even sell it, but good luck! I actually kind of like the spoiler

Thanks... You are correct, I'm in no rush to sell.
I have a buyer right now at 42, but thank you for the vote of confidence :) KBB is 37 on it.

Open to reasonable offers and possible trades

alkvalseth 06-13-2018 05:52 PM

You have a really nice car, but it’s difficult to know what you consider reasonable offers, because compared to similar cars you are at least 10k too expensive. If you expect something close to asking price, you will probably have to wait a long time.

Thank you for the compliment. I already have a 42k offer on the table. A reasonable offer would be a bit more than that.

Please show me a car with comparable mod list, let alone, 1000 miles old, for sub 40. I'd be glad to reconsider my posting.

The way I see it, BBK is 37.5. I just invested almost 30k in mods, and only asking for a fraction of that. I could easily part it out and get much more, but don't want to bother as I dont have the time or the energy. Somebody is gonna get an amazing car for fraction of the cost, and no downtime waiting for mod installs. I'm in no rush. Got a car cover and front yard space to keep it safe.

Uploaded invoice from American Heritage that shows date of build and miles during install.

If I wasn't buying A house I would buy it for 45 without question. Maybe in a year youll still have it. It's sick. That wrap is insane.

Hey congrats on the house! If things change, reach out, let's talk.
I sure hope I don't still have it in a year, but according to some folks on here that very well maybe the case (they're wrong) :)

StingrayVert 06-14-2018 02:25 PM

Update. I had the miles wrong. Car only has 35,100 miles. 600 miles on the mods. (Took her out last night for a joy ride).

I can't believe that everyone wants that flat look on the paint. When I was young that was always the guy who had no money and it looks like it to this day.

People are funny about modded cars man. At the end of the day someone will have to pay cash or come up with a down payment to cover the difference between the kbb and asking.

maybelooking 06-15-2018 03:14 PM

words I will never speak in my lifetime.

"I impulse-bought a McLaren last week."

Great looking vette man. If I hadnt already gotten my Z I would be talking to you. Good luck with your sale!!!!

TXGS507 06-17-2018 03:30 PM

To the OP... don't pay any attention to the Douche sacks and their negative comments.
Haters are always going to hate. All that being said.. $48.9K is ALOT! Even w the mods, it being an 09 3LZ to boot. That asking price is steep... I'd say jump on that $42K cash offer.
I too have spent more money modding the car than I would ever get out of it. Mine is an 08Z 3LZ same interior as yours ($10K option). Mine only has 27K miles... If someone offered me $42K I think I would take it. Hell, my hood, catback alone are almost$8K....

alkvalseth 06-17-2018 04:33 PM

Hey, I’m sorry if my comment came out wrong, I don’t want to act as a douche, I commented because I actually liked the car and I would’ve been interested if it was lower priced.
I fully understand the OP’s investment in the car, however normally the one that owns a car values it much higher than the ones that want to buy it. It is psychology. There needs to be a zone of mutual agreement for a deal to happen, and there might be a buyer who are willing to pay what you think it’s worth. But Im quite sure there are not many people willing to pay even mid 40s for a 09 Z06, modded or not. A car with all the right mods that I’m looking for (this car certainly has some of them), maybe. But there are ZR1’s going for under 50, of course with some higher mileage.

Good luck with the sale, I hope you find the buyer you’re looking for!
Best regards
