Had to fly to Dallas to get it but man it was a fun drive back to Tennessee. It’s a 2010 3LT. Feels like a race car and I can’t wait to Chick it around an autocross course and Barber motorsports park this summer and fall.

Welcome to the widebody club! The GS is the best C6 to get. I’ve had mine new since 2013.

Thank you! Yes, I love the way it looks it just screams "motorsport" to me. My only complaint was that it does not have NPP and is way too quiet, but I'll remedy that with a new exhaust in the next week or two.

Awesome color (I just took delivery of mine Friday, same color)like your wheels much better than mine. Also like the fender hash marks. :)

Very nice! Great color! Congrats on the New Car!

Congrats from a fellow West TN'er! You're test drive home was proof enough of how fun these cars are to drive I'm sure. :D

Thanks! Congrats to you as well. That red looks beautiful in the sun I'm very happy with my choice.

Yes, it was a great way to get to know the car. I'd never bought a car sight unseen like this before so was a little nervous but the Vette didn't miss a beat during the drive home in 90+ degrees.

That's great! My wife and I did the same thing back in April. Drove ours 6 hours home from Arkansas and haven't looked back. Enjoy your new ride and holler if you are ever near Jackson.

Upgrade the suspension with new sways and shocks and it will feel so much racier than it does stock you won't believe it. Do so especially if it will see some track time.

Congrats.

Thanks for the input, sway bars are on my want list anyway. I've had good luck with eibach parts in the past any particular brand you reccomend? Your profile pic gives me confidence in your suggestion lol.

To a degree, it depends on how racy you want to get. I went with the Pfadt Stage I package many years ago. Was an outstanding upgrade for my dual purpose car. Later, as car became a dedicated track car, I ditched the leafs and went with coilovers while keeping the sways.

aFe bought Pfadt a few years back but I believe you can still get these.

Congrats on your fine looking Grand Sport. I may have seen that one listed online perhaps (here on CF or elsewhere). Nice find!!

pauly1119 06-11-2018 03:56 PM

I won't be going too racy as the car will serve as a dual purpose nice weather toy and occasional autocross/ HPDE day car. Although my tolerance for "racy" is higher than most owners I feel. I did daily drive a 2012 370Z Nismo for a year which has to be one of the most uncomfortable cars in production at the time.

Aren't those Pfadt bars in the "Jonny O'connell" packages? Pfadt has a good name out there from what I can tell. I'm not interested in adding a ton of power to this car it's honestly so far beyond my talent level I don't need extra speed at this point but sharpening up the turn-in and body motions is appealing.
