New to me 96 CE LT4 / ZF6 conv.
Been a member for a while back when I was deep on the hunt for a C4, priorities changed, but a couple of weeks ago a Sebring silver CE ragtop came into my life at a price that made it worth the effort.
I fought the car onto my tilt deck with the winch, certain it's 5 year hibernation had resulted in a stuck and then broken parking brake cable.....only to find out I was doing it all wrong. Can't wait to see what else the old girl has to throw me as I take her out of mothballs. Pretty sure she was parked due to a bad slave as the clutch pedal has zero resistance....at least ZF was still using external slaves back in the day! |
that's a nice car...and yes there is the "secret C4 handshake"

LT4!
You got the right c4! |
CE LT4 Verts are rare.
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...f48d3e9d8.jpeg Only 469 made. There are 190 GS verts, and few hundred Callaway verts made. These are the most powerful C-4 Convertibles ever made by GM. The few the proud! Welcome to the club. I have CE LT4 vert with gray interior and 55,000 miles . Good Luck with your Vert!:woohoo: |
Lt4ever, These C4 clutch hydraulics suck! Give Bill Boudreau at zfdoc a call and he can get you set up. Try to stay away from the Chinese bare cast replacements and get a black painted extruded steel master and slave rebuilt by him if possible.
