08 JSB VERT 6sp 20kmiles 3lt flawless

If you love Jet Stream Blue and are looking for a flawless C6 look no further. 2008 3LT w/ Power top, Heads up, Dual mode exhaust, 6 disc CD with premium Bose sound system. 6 speed manual with MGW shifter. 4 brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Black Convertible top doesn't even have a mark on it. Fully dealer maintained. This car is absolutely beautiful, and has taken 1st place in the 2 largest judged Corvette shows in New England 12 times now with 3 best of show awards. This past Sunday took 1st place at the very tough Club Ct show at Moroso for the 6th year in a row. Never thought I would sell this car, but in a moment of weakness, I purchased a new Grand Sport yesterday. Must sell quickly. First 30,000 owns this beautiful C6.

I agree with Taco.
That car looks great.

I will be picking up my new Vette probably late next week. They offered me 27K in trade, and they are going to wholesale this car, as they do not put anything but new, or fairly new Vettes on their lot. I would hate to see this car wholesaled then resold for 33000.
New Price 29000 last chance for this beautiful C6.

You might be better off taking the trade and saving the sales tax on the new ride. It is 11 model years old. Although very nice condition 30k gets one very close to a 14 C-7 which will be in style for many more years. Many positive comments but no hands full of money.
Dealers sometimes play with the numbers on trades vs buying outright. I would be suspicious of a trade value more than a blue book figure displays. They are in business to make money making sure they can wholesale or retail for a profit. An older vehicle has a limited following. Less traffic means longer stay on the lot tieing up capitol from another possible sale. Huge overhead makes high trade allowances very scarce. Depreciation is not your friend.
Good Luck.

For the most part I agree with you but before I went to the dealer, I found the new car on their website and inquired over the phone. I was told they have a Kelly Blue Book calculator right on their website and I should use it to calculate my trade-in value which I did. The results from their website are shown in the screenshots below. Trade in value VS private party sale. I searched a lot of local Corvette adds and any decent 08 Convertible was over 31000. Lots of dogs in the low to mid 20's. They gave me a good price on the new one but only wanted to give me 24000 for my trade. I walked away and they finally came down a little more on the new car and came up to 25000 on the trade, which works out to almost 27000 factoring in the sales tax savings. I will buy it either way but I was hoping someone would appreciate this beautiful C6 for a fair price.

I have always looked at selling a vehicle the way I would buy it. More bargain hunters than people willing to pay more for a better condition car it seems. When my mind is made up to sell I price it lower with a good description. I never had a problem selling in this manner. I lose more in depreciation but the end result is met . Few want the headache of dealing with prospective buyers taking what ever the dealer offers and a few free bee's like washes, service oil changes, and inspections. I don't mind speaking with buyers ( not tire kickers ) and if genuinely interested most will see my view especially on a lift for inspection. Separating talkers from buyers is an art. Some just want to get a tour without buying the ticket. Corvette people are finicky, ask a lot of questions, and expect a lot as if they are buying new. Its best to speak with them to qualify the buyer, from looker to perfectionist . Their background is also important. If they are gear heads or investors. Hands on people expect wear and minor flaws. Investors, flippers demand the best for half value. Their talent relies on sales talk , reassurance, and colorful descriptions that may or may not be proved.
I don't believe the dealer will send your example out the back door. It will be detailed and on the show room floor. Where do you find another in this condition ? It will also draw customers and someone will definitely pay low to mid thirties for this car.

Well said, Thanks
I do have a buyer coming over tomorrow. Seems hopeful. Fingers crossed.
It seems your bargain hunting observation is pretty true. I was originally looking for a really nice used C7. The dealer called me recently and had taken in a beautiful -his words, 2014 Limerock Green Convertible loaded. When I got there it had scratches all over the place, 2 big gouges in the rear valance, and the Kalahari Top was a total disaster. I walked out and said no thanks don't like the color. I was trying to be polite. I was there today and it sold for 46,900. :crazy2:
