Studs
Can you replace the studs on a c3 with the hubs on the car ?
Tks |
I have done it. Seems that the parking brake shoe has to be removed and drill or enlarge an existing hole to insert the stud through. I replaced a stud last week on the same car, so the shoes and hole were already there so it was quick. |
Front is easy, yes. Rear is more fiddly, as above, but can be done. I use a balljoint separator of this style to push the studs in and out to avoid hammering on the studs/bearings or pulling them in.

I just grabbed the photo off google, but I bought mine from a local parts store. Probably not a lot of help to list where given I'm in Australia! But I'm sure they're available in the US too.
