Which valve cover should I choose ?

Hi, I narrowed it down to two, i prefer the large lettered raised scrip but not available in polished aluminum the slternative is a smaller script. My motor as is. Comments?https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...86067c227.jpeg

I like them both.

If going with the bottom set, what color would you paint them, or would you use as shown? That makes a difference in my response.

But, overall, I'm leaning towards the top two-piece covers to match the way your engine looks.

1st set - chromed aluminum 2 piece, although they will be hard to keep clean if you have a driver. Smaller lettering, but I like the painted bow tie.

I like the bottom one painted the color red of the body with the script left as cast but...…..
The top one matches your air cleaner and IMCO I think that would be the better choice.

I like these but they won't work with a brake booster

They will if you turn the booster 90 degrees outboard and mount it under the fender (my tube-frame Grand Sport)

How did you do the linkage on that? Is there some sort of bellcrank in that perf metal structure?

Yes - there's a bellcrank arrangement that translates the fore-aft motion of the brake pedal pushrod to the lateral motion which operates the C4 booster. Photo below shows a better view of the bellcrank and its bracket on a friend's GS. :thumbs:https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...759982523a.jpg
