Although we are primarily a GM shop there are a few very special vehicle builds that we have been given the opportunity to be a part of, and this has certainly been one of our favorites. The time has come to announce the numbers on our Vengeance Racing Dodge Demon project! For those that have not been following the build over the last few weeks, we teamed up with a few of our top parts manufacturers to put together a solid package to reach our customer’s goal of 1,000rwhp on a pump fuel (read E85), and still keep near-stock street manners with a killer appearance under the hood. For this, we opted for the following combination: Whipple Superchargers 4.5L supercharger system (4.75” pulley) Whipple 180mm throttle body and cold air intake system ATI Performance Products 10% Overdrive balancer Kooks Headers and Exhaust longtube header system & connection pipes Fuel Injector Connection 1,300cc fuel injectors Triple pump in-tank fuel system Stock ECU calibration via HP Tuners After finishing up on the dyno with E85 fuel we saw right at 20psi on boost on a 100% stock engine and make a final number of 1,005rwhp / 850rwtq!!! The car has a wicked sound with the new header system at idle, and coupled with the blower whine from the Whipple, WOT sounds great as well. We’ll be heading to Carolina Dragway in the near future to track test this new combination and hopefully see much better than the 11 second ET’s we experienced at Atlanta Dragway in stock form.
