New Volvo engine technology

This is interesting and you wonder how long it will be until this level of technology starts appearing in the Corvette....

Hopefully never, that's going to be a nightmare of reliability issues.

Maybe lawsuits by owners against OEM like the C6 and C7 Zo6 currently have?

My daily is a modified '04 V70R 6-speed MT. Not sure what to make of these new engines. On one hand they seem like time bombs for problems. On the other, Volvo has been pretty rock solid on the Turbo engines even early on so hopefully these will continue that heritage. My biggest gripe is no MT available on any of the new models, but that seems to be an industry trend. As the last true R car I hope mine goes for a while. One of 541 '04 MT V70Rs produced for the US.

100% agreed. A motor with electric, turbo, and a supercharger?

Yeah that's a reliability nightmare, guaranteed.
