Crazy Question - Any Available Canadian ZR1 Allocations? At MSRP?
The subject line says what I seek...a Canadian allocation to factory order a ZR1 at MSRP.
Brief history - Went down this road November 2016 and thought I was set. An unprofessional dealer wasted my time. Anyways, “water under the bridge” as they say. If anyone knows of a configurable Canadian allocation at MSRP, I’d appreciate a lead. Feel free to PM. Thanks in advance. Vern |

Yes, hope an allocation materializes for 2020...back on a dealer’s waiting list. Wait and see what happens. |

I've been in contact with the dealer already but no luck. They're aware of my interest. |

WG grey auto very zr1 comp seats The M7 and regular seats are “must haves”. I’m on a dealer list for Shadow Grey, M7, 3ZR (1ZR is fine) in Spice Red, ZTK, black wheels, battery tender, and personal plaque. Again, thanks. |

I think you just have to wait it out Vernon. I'm looking too but not willing to pay over MSRP. There is a group that will pay over MSRP and that's what drives the craziness, but once that group is fed it should return to normal.
The 5th Gen ZL1 Camaro was like this is 2012, in 2013 they pumped out much more and under MSRP was easy The GT500 in 2013 was hard to get, then in 2014 under MSRP In 2015 the hellcat was was marked up and then in 2016 Dodge flooded the market with them You just have to wait and see, and if it does not materialize then not meant to be, there will be something else. Just never overpay or you feed the vicious circle. Kudos for those willing to take the risk to flip a 6 figure car, but I'm not one thats interested in that. Personally I would rather invest the money elsewhere. I have bought a lot of cars, but I can admit I'm never the 1st one in, but I never overpay. I see some of the Canadians trying to flip right now in the 200K range, but with the car costing approx 160 at MSRP then you have to pay the 13% to put in your name (if you are buying it) you are in for about 180K. In the 200K market there are a lot of nice toys. If you can avoid the 13% by finding a buyer and essentially selling your car from the dealer then it would work out pretty well. The 13% is going to sting. Vernon you just got to wait, believe me, I have waited for a few cars, but I have always got what I wanted in the end. I was just never the first one on the block with the new toy. Cars get old fast these days. |
