I want Rev Match set to on as the default in a M7
Hi, I have a 2017 C7 with a manual transmission.
Why can't there be a software update that allows 1) the rev-match to be on by default 2) remember my settings on or off the next time I restart the car? |
I agree totally

I have same issue I don’t think there is a way to keep it perminetely |
Having driven OTHER cars with rev match on at all times, or need a button press to turn off, I prefer the way Chevy did it on the C7. I'd rather the car leave that choice to operate up to me first, especially with a manual transmission.
I'll ask for it when I need it. Even if it's all the time, I'd prefer that I'm the one asking for it. Just sayin'. |
If rev match were on all the time I wouldn't have an M7. I prefer to blip the throttle or not to blip the throttle if i choose. I can't even believe anyone would suggest such a thing. Manually rev matching is an intimate part of drivng a manual...

The request isn't to do away with the ability to heel/toe on your own, the request is to reverse the default. You would still be able to turn off active Rev Match
Again, I spend the bulk of my time on BMW boards. The BMW rev match defaults to ON. You will not believe the number of people screaming for a way to program the rev-match to default to off. Still think Chevy made the right choice. |
A better option would be if it just remembered your last setting. Similar to when you set the drive mode to Tour or Sport.

I was at Spring Mountain about a month ago and they said because Nissan has a patent that includes rev match being activated when the car starts GM had to make the Corvette with it NOT activated at start up to get around Nissan's patent.
