Garage Floor Paint
We're finally downsizing- the good news is that it's a wonderful condo in a nice community called Fire Rock in Fountain Hills, AZ- just east of Scottsdale.
The bad news is I go from a finished, air conditioned 4 car garage to a normal 2 car unfinished garage. I would appreciate any recommendations for a professional epoxy finished floor and garage storage cabinets/shelving. Thanks |
Sorry I can't give you any recommendations about epoxy. Good on you being able to sacrifice your spacious man cave for something less. I know we need to downsize but not the garage do we?.... Good luck. Probly in the next year or so I'll seek your advice on epoxy, condo seems fine for us just not garage space, yet. |
Fountain Hills looks very attractive when we "cut through" on our way to 87, very cool area. |

Before I give you advice, keep in mind I have been building medical facilities for over 10 years. I have seen epoxy go bad quickly. It scratches easily and doesn't hold up well with jackstands, etc. It also can separate from the concrete and peel, which becomes a total nightmare to repair. I thought about polishing the concrete, but it still absorbs oils, etc. I settled on a high coefficient surface Italian ceramic tile. The problem with ceramic tile is the grout.....unless you get EPOXY grout, which is pretty much impossible to stain. You're looking at $8.00/sq. ft. to install it, plus the cost of the tile. My floor is 2 years old and looks like brand new. If you have the means, I HIGHLY recommend it. I have dumped oil, brake fluids, all kinds of chemicals on it and the white grout is still white. Everything wipes right up. Oh, and by the way it looks killer. |
:iagree: wow that looks fantastic. |
