Need Help tuning a carbed 383 stroker

I just got the motor recently it has a 750 cfm elderbrok on it. How much fuel pressure does this carb need right now i have 6 pounds going to it. Its has a bigger cam in it/not sure how big i have all the paperwork but the guy who wrote it has horrible hand writing. When im at about 2000 rpm and flat foot it kinda falls on it face till it gets over 3500 or so then it'll run decent still cuts out a lil bit but not as bad. Ive never tuned a carb or changed the jets. I picked up some new springs for the throttle return springs bu i have no idea what im doing and this is my dailey driver.

This can be a lot of things. First you want to check the float levels. Front and back. Both fuel bowels have a sight plug. Fuel should just drip out a drop or 2 at rough idle. Adjustment is easy. Screw driver and box wrench. loosen nut and turn brash center screw. Next check accelerator pump. The plastic cam may have different setting. Or you may change it for a different shot of fuel. Might be the vacuum secondaries opening too soon. (bog ,but it can be the little accelerator pump too) No vacuum leaks? Next would be look at timing. Different timing curves with vacuum for more advance. With the jets you need to check the plugs to see if the are too rich. A cheap book on Holley carbs should help. If this is only happening when racing, then anti sloush baffles, might help. Maybe even change the filters in the carb. Should run fine with a 750, but you do not know what was done to it.

6psi max on those. Eddy carbs are calibrated for stockish builds you are probably running real lean
Call Summit for a recalibration kit pretty simple to do.

Curve your dist first then tackle the carb
