Seems to be a lot more access to car also take note of the rear hatch shape (body line) - C8 starting to grow on me even in its current state

Did the C7 ever get airborne at the same hill?

And it looks like it has a conventional opening door, not a Lambo/McLaren style door. That rear hatch opening sure looks HUGE!

Should give decent access to the motor for maintenance.

I think its confirmed the black rimmed c8 will definitely be the base model, it's driving alongside the stingray

Sounds right to me - thats pretty much what it will be - can you say wait for Z06 version

Interesting, that stack of wheels/tires suggests that the front tires are going to be about 2in smaller in diameter than the rears???

Interesting. I was concerned about this negative camber gain in droop like the C5,6 and 7 have. Your picture shows maybe zero. Mmmm. I revised my C6Z upper control arm and relocated it which changed camber and toe migration in roll (roll understeer) which increased grip on the inside rear tire friction circle by 15%. I sure hope they have lost those dumb eccentrics which is shameful, especially on the Z06 and ZR1 cars. Check out the C7 crashing at the ring on this forum which is not driver error. It is wheel alignment out of spec and questionable geometry or eccentric cam slip.

Rear hatches come off easy enough so that helps - they should make rear bumper assy an easy on easy off process if possible - lots of options

Thats the thing, I wonder if the other rimmed c8 is a higher end model or not that's launching alongside the black rimmed c8.

C7 test cars had base and Z51 cars driving around at the same time. Base had 18/19 wheels, Z51 had 19/20's.

That's why they call it "Flugplatz." Google for auto flight paths at the Ring. Any car will do it over 100mph.

Looks like the C8 has excellent camber control. Tire flat to the road at full extension!

Good view on size/dimensions. Taking perspective into account, it looks like the roof might be slightly lower. Overall basically the same size as the C7 though.

Needs more downforce! That rear end got a good bit of height over the front despite being rear engined.

With the door open, it looks to have a slight upward opening track.....this would be good to clear curbs while opening the door.
Also, the scoop on the passenger door looks pretty big. It may limit the door quite a bit opening in tight parking spots.
