WEAPON-X: ZTX Wing aka larger C7 ZR1 Style Wing

We are in the process of making the complete conversion kit for the ZTK wing only a little larger aka the ZTX wing for all C7 models including the ZR1. And we will be offering the ZTX front splitter and end caps to balance out the downforce. That will not be far behind!
ETA December 2018!

The GM kit is over $5,500 if you can even get it, we will be targeting the $3500 range for the complete kit. ZR1 owners with the ZTK wing already will only need the stands and wing, so looking around $2500 unless you guys want the body wing which will be slightly more aggressively ramped off the back of the car. The OEM stands are just cast AL, so even if you wanted to keep the OEM height, you need to replace them with our stronger billet units for the larger wing.

This will include:
  • ZTX wing in Carbon Fiber
  • Brackets T6061: Low mount (available now), standard height, and high mount (similar to the ACR)
  • Body wing in Carbon Fiber (customer can paint if desired)
  • OEM brake light
  • Rear Body/bumper bracket
  • Hardware - Nuts/Bolts
  • TS30 socket
We'll be taking pre-orders next month!

My hero! Are you going to offer the higher mounts in a stand alone buy option as well?

Your valve covers came out nasty bro, did you powder coat or paint them? Also are they available with custom engraving (CNC)?

-Thanks Brian

Will it tie to the frame like the ZR1 supposedly does I don't have mine yet so I not sure how they tie it in behind the bumper? I could be interested in one for my ZO6.

PLEASE make it tasteful! I like the idea but always worry when a company tries to add on to a very well designed car. This is not a doubt directed specifically at you, but based on my experience in the BMW aftermarket. I hope that your performance goals can be met along with keeping the aesthetics of the ZR1. If you want any pro-bono professional opinions I'm quite good at seeing how small tweaks can improve a design's balance. I have no bias - it's your product not mine. But I'm happy to help, just PM me.

Valve Covers are powder coated, we put a lot of effort into matching them to the body color when a customer wants that. And yes you can get the valve covers blank or custom engraved as well! Hit me up if you want a set ;)

Yes, those are just for you Brian LOL, but seriously should be pretty cool 50mm higher puts it right above the roof like the ACR. Still in CFD testing, but looks promising with our billet brackets vs the OEM cast ones.

Yes, we will reuse the GM bracket behind the rear bumper and I have one here now to test fit on a Z06 to make sure there are no surprises. We're making the rest of the parts for the kit aside from the rear brake light. It will be tested and legitimately ready for the down-force!

How do we balance it with the front?

JRRZR1 09-21-2018 11:16 AM

Please also make front canards. If your wing has more down force, front canards will help balance the front and rear.

or at least a bigger front splitter. Adding a ton of rear downforce without adding in the front is a really dangerous plan.

From Ben's first post: "We are in the process of making the complete conversion kit for the ZTK wing only a little larger aka the ZTX wing for all C7 models including the ZR1. And we will be offering the ZTX front splitter and end caps to balance out the downforce. That will not be far behind!

This wing will be in the same location as the OEM spoiler, just higher? So theoretically even more hatch clearance then?

Any thoughts of doing the splitter without the batarang, just a smooth curve across?

Correct, it's funny there is more clearance with the low wing brackets to get your fingers in front of it to grab the hatch than the standard height. I can't even get my fingers between the hatch and the spoiler when it's swinging up. I have to do this over under deal lol.

As for the splitter, I love the current look. It looks a lot like my original C7 splitter with the winglets when that first came out in 2014. :)

Bump for updates.

any one specifically? ;) we're past prototyping and in molding and parts are getting closer by the day!

the C7 ZR1 front bumper "eye brow" molds are done and they're in the queue to make, which should be ready in 4-6 weeks!

4GS7 11-18-2018 02:05 PM

^^^ Specifically the taller uprights and the larger wing. Also curious if you have a line on the spoiler conversion parts for GS and Z06 owners.

Sorry, I don't know why my reply didn't post last week. I was adding this to the website right now ;) Yes, the complete kit is up with an ETA of Jan!
