08 with only 6,300 miles, prone to leak?
 

I am looking at an 08 base with LS3 motor with only 6,300 miles on it. It has been garage kept... but not driven much! This is hardly 50 miles a month! Should I be concurrence that the seals & gaskets might be dry or hard... & after I start driving it, and drive it I will, it is not a god... and I end up with leaks, drips and errors? What is your experience?

IMO 50 miles a moth would keep the seals etal lubricated.
Perhaps your only option is to go for a 100 mile test drive and then check for leaks?
But, if owner was a collector, 50 miles a month is taking great care.

Thanks much. Unfortunately, the car is in Midland, Texas and I am in South Carolina. Obviously, I cannot take a test ride. Hmmmm....

Agreed...provided that's how the car was driven. For all we know, the car was driven ~2K/yr for 3 yrs, and its been sitting for the last 7 yrs. Then, dried up seals could certainly be an issue. That's always the risk of an ultra low mileage older car.

MTP has a great point.
Not knowing Texas, is annual smog (service record) required?
Are there service records showing the accumulation of mileage?
Consistent annual registration may also show if the car was off the road.
Again, MTP has a great point....has the car been sitting for years?

Buying a car unseen has risk...I would fly to the car and inspect if serious as no
trusted or personal inspection could be an expensive mistake.
