Stock short block
good heads and cam
procharger with a blow-through carb setup
30° timing at 10.5:1AFR banging gears at 6400

Can't give away all of the secrets... but she does run like a bat outta hell.

Tom400CFI 09-24-2018 04:54 PM

Dude....that is awesome! 6400 RPM on the stock short block? Damn....

Yeah... one day it will toss some rod bolts and grenade... but until then it sure is fun.

New motor is in the works, but for now this one seems to be holding together. She has about 10psi oil pressure hot at idle with 10w40, so I know its worn - but she keeps on truckin.

Tom400CFI 09-24-2018 11:33 PM

I dig it. Use it up. :)

I used to love beating supercharged Mustangs when I did test and tune days.

pologreen1 09-25-2018 12:05 PM

We all agree these are not apples to apples or stock to stock right?

I would love to see a stock '96 LT4 take on the same vert.

LOL.

I dont think anyone was saying these cars were stock.

I guess I could play the stock block/rotating assy game.

Maybe the mustang was also modified? Who knows.

No really though lol what does "stock" really mean?

The green car is not stock. That is or was a member here.

Stock means 330hp lt4 vs stock off the shelf stang.

I'm just saying if I raced people with my car my c4 would most likely win. My car is not really c4 anymore though IMO.
