Best Automotive Design of All Time

Weigh in with pics and a reason, if you are so inclined. Your response can apply to ANY design, not just Sports Cars or Corvettes. I am expecting some eclectic answers to this one.

1962 Ferrari 250GTO is too sexy for my brain. It’s sitting still in this picture, but I watched one race at Limerock over Labor Day weekend about ten years ago and it was awesome!

1936 Cord Convert (Speedster ?) Supercharged. after that Mercedes 1956 300 SL Gullwing, after that 1963 Jaguar XKE

The Miura still makes me weak in the knees.

It gets my vote as well - timeless!

Gen 2 Viper GTS Coupe. Love the lines in the car. Fund to drive too.

I'd have to agree with the E-Type, but I'm also quite partial to this '63

Some outstanding choices. I always liked the '65 Riviera with the clam shell head lamps. That generation of Buick has some super clean lines. Hard to beat.

A 66 Ferrari 275 GTS gets my vote!

The Ingrid Bergman 1954 Ferrari 375MM. A one off built for her as a birthday gift from her husband, Roberto Rossilini, the famous film director. Enough to take your breath away.

Duesenberg Model SJ. Absolute American automotive aristocracy.

The Jaguar E-type reimagined...

The Miura is near the top of my list too, as is the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" Spyder.

But my personal favorite, has to be the late 60's Lola T70 coupe. It was primarily a race car, but a few have found there way onto the street.

The Penske/Donohue Lola T70 MK3B, that won the 69 Daytona 24 Hour, may be the prettiest T70 of them all.

Although before my time, I always liked the 40 Ford Coupes. They made a large car look smaller and the entire front end is just perfect.

I love them all, but I really like the Ford GT-40. I like the 2005 Ford GT as well. Jerry

Many good choices.

Although I don't have a picture I always wanted to buy a Pantera. I like the idea od an Italian body with an American engine but was afraid I would cook to death in one.
