WORLD RECORD 1/4 Mile (Manual) Gen 5 Viper - Vengeance Racing

Ned Dunphy's Twin Turbo Viper came off of the trailer at the House of Hook with a 9.19 @ 163 pass, and with a “first pass soft tune up” out of the way started easing his way into more power. With the help of ProEFI’s advanced engine control system and tuning by our shop foreman Jey Clegg, Ned was finally able to pilot this beast to a WORLD RECORD (manual) pass of 8.66 @ 174mph !!!! All with a 1.48 short time as well, and 5.78 @ 135 through the 1/8th! Ned actually made five passes over the course of the night starting with his 9.19 and then……..8.72/8.73/8.93 and finally his 8.66

For those that have missed any previous posts/videos on this car, this 2014 Viper T/A was 100% built here in house at Vengeance Racing starting with a completely stock vehicle and becoming what it is today. We’d like to thank everyone involved for helping to develop this monster of a car into a vehicle that can not only run 8-second ET’s in the ¼ mile, 210+ mph in the ½ mile (more to come here as this was with his original turbo system), but also street drive from our customer’s home over an hour away in traffic up to our facility at will. A HUGE thanks goes out to Late Model Engines , Professional EFI Systems Inc. , Calvo Motorsports, Honeywell Garrett Turbochargers , Race Part Solutions , Nth Moto , Driveshaft Shop , Prospeed Autosports , and Dailey Engineering Dry Sump . Take note that this is a FULL weight vehicle that scaled out at 3,775lbs with driver, still has a 100% STOCK TR6060 transmission, and piloted by the owner.
