Top of rear fender mud guard came off

Does anyone know what kind of double sided tape Gm used to attach the rear mud guard? Just this weekend the top part of the guard came off and is not sticking to the fender. I looked at the 3m website and don’t even know where to begin. They have a bunch of different kinds.

I think there is a little metal spring clip on it

I just replaced mine for the same reason. Over time the tape lost its stickiness. Dont go through the hassle of replacing it. Unless your guard is broken just take a dab of Gorilla Glue and glue the end down. My replacement sticks worse than my original so i lightly glued the end and its perfect now.

One of mine came loose. I used a little smear of Gel type Loctite Super Glue...been fine for two years now.

Thanks for the reply’s. I’ll try the glue method. I would say about an inch of the top came loose. Did you guys apply the glue the entire portion that came loose or do you think I should just apply it just a little at the tip where it ends up on the fender?

I put glue on maybe the last inch or inch and a half of the guard. No need I can see to really do anymore .
