2000 CAMARO Z28
 

I know a guy that has a 2000 camaro Z28....he says he has 320-330hp...something like that. He says he drove his car and a Grand Sport and wasnt impressed by the GS.

Question: Can this car beat an LT4 or GS? or does it depend on the driver

His car is pretty stock except for a K&N Air Filter and exhaust i think

The reason I ask is, he wants to race me, and I dont want to get embarrassed... also any launching tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a stock LT4 with new Nitto Extreme's and a K&N air filter only. 20kmiles, and a new tranny.

What does a GS run in the 1/4???

I only ask because most 00' Z28s can run 13.00-13.5@106mph stock. (6-speed of course).

If you get a 1LE type car (stripper) they can run 12's stock like the 01's and 02's can.

You gotta watch out for those LS1 camaro's . Trust me, they run real good! :chevy

should be close, I beleive the GS should run round 13.3 and the camaro will run about the same in stock trim.

Those LS1 Camaro's are quick, if he's a six speed it will come down to driver.

Three of my friends have 2000 to 2002 Z28's. and they all run 13.1 to 13.2 consistently and on street tires. & they are all completely stock LS1 motors

My wifes 99 SS 6 speed runs 13.2 @ 105 with a whisper lid & Metco lca's
There are numerous bolt-ons only LS1 F-Bodies running 12.8's to 13.4's around here. :yesnod: and a handful that run Quicker w/Weight reduction.
