Poll Yes/No. Please see pic

Thinking about eliminating pop ups completely and custom make new lenses for new custom bumper. Digital edited a pic to see how it would look. I’m not so sure that I like the look without them there. Maybe I’ll make some type of carbon fiber plate to bolt in to the empty space when I remove them.

Please give your opinion with a Yes or No whether or not you think it looks good with them eliminated.

:nono: Um. NO.

No. I don't even like it when bumpers are molded in. For some strange reason, it just looks right with the seams. Otherwise, it looks like some aftermarket kit car, and yes, I mean that in a bad way.

No.

Bikespace 10-15-2018 06:33 AM

No. Also, likely illegal to do it today. Your headlights will be too low.

EDIT: I found the image of what the sightless C3 looks like to me.

EDIT 2: Even Mater thinks it's uncanny when the car's "eyes" are in the wrong place.

By itself it will look odd, but if you commit to the whole custom look you can make it work.

My Dad had a HOK candy red '69 vert with black top, chrome Hooker sidemounts, headlights behind the grill, no front bumper, no pop ups - smooth custom scratch built front end design by previous owner. Beautiful car. NY did not care about it but Canada and California authorities all over him, Eventually just had to sell it.

peyc2 10-15-2018 08:08 AM

no leave them please

slammin 10-15-2018 08:44 AM

No, keep the pop ups.

540 vette 10-15-2018 08:45 AM

I would leave them. But if you did it the bumper would have to be molded in.

BlowAMouse 10-15-2018 08:49 AM

Please No

cor66vette 10-15-2018 08:51 AM

no.

74Ken 10-15-2018 08:55 AM

100% no

The Hot Rod Grille 10-15-2018 08:56 AM

:nono:

Richard454 10-15-2018 10:00 AM

I'm gonna say "YES" to not doing it!!!

The "pop-up" headlights are what make the C3 "cool"...

jgilevettes 10-15-2018 10:02 AM

your car, your choice... but a resounding 'no' here

74_stingray 10-15-2018 10:18 AM

My vote is NO. However, I am all about making my car into what I want it to be and believe you should make your Corvette all about you, whatever that means to you. But Don't do it...

Douglas Mariani 10-15-2018 10:32 AM

No don't do it.
