It was 6 weeks ago today that my ordered Stingray convertible arrived at the dealership. I have since put 1866 miles on it and have been enjoying it immensely! Here are a few pictures taken at Naples NY.

Nice ride man but you are not putting enough miles on her. It will be winter soon get the miles in on her..

Got to love a vert! My first month of ownership, I put over 2500 miles on the car. It has since averaged out to about 1000 miles a month which includes at least two months a year that I don't drive it due to the winter weather. Enjoy it while you can as the Rochester, NY winter is not too far away.

According the owners manual - to actually "enjoy" a convertible, you have to put the top DOWN...

Give that a try - it may add to your enjoyment...

Plus the verts look better topless in pictures too.

Put a sweatshirt on and turn up the heat and put that top down!

Nice shots of a gorgeous car!

Anybody know if the above wheels are an optional cost, & what wheels would be at NO
additional cost ????
As Im wanting to redirect the Black Wheel $$$ toward much more attractive Forged,
Style Aftermarket Wheels

Those wheels are a $495 option. The only wheels that are free are these same style wheels in silver. (unless you get a GS, Z06 or ZR1, as they each come with different wheels)

The Black wheels are a $495 option. Silver painted (same style) are standard at no cost.

What a beauty. I was concerned at first that the top may have been broken, but I saw later that you got it down. Enjoy

Great time of the year for a top down cruise, well it was until today. Anyhow you have a special looking Vette enjoy.

Gorgeous C7.

Top up or top down, convertible Corvettes are the only way to go. Convertibles are old school sports cars. You can't get the full sports car experience in the "hatchback."

Sure you can. They both have the same acceleration, same braking, same cornering. I can remove the roof if I want the wind in my hair, it's not that much different. To each his own, but I absolutely hate the way you think that your car is the only way that people should configure their Corvettes and that everyone else's car is wrong.

Not to be too picky - but that's not really true. Years ago, convertibles were looked at negatively specifically for "Sports Cars" because with the roof removed, the overall frame rigidity was weakened... and sport cars wouldn't handle as well (they would "twist"). Today frames are much more rigid to remedy this...but back in the day that was the consensus...

Great looking car? Is it a Z51?

Actually, you don't know your history then. Convertibles were frame-built more ruggedly to withstand what your fears were. They were subsequently heavier. A true sports car is a convertible WITH a manual transmission. Hatchbacks just aren't.

Not a Z51, but I did have the Z51 Front and Rear sway bar kit installed. Rides, handles and stops great and.... no brake dust!

dbirdhouse1 10-17-2018 03:45 PM

yup

nothing like "whistlin' past the graveyard"....I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine (especially with the weather we are having in Western Washington); well done....

Supersonic 427:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this your 3rd new C7?
