Seat Chaps or full seat covers for C6 Daily Driver?
I am looking for recommendations on protecting the seats (and the side bolster) on a 2011 C6 that is a daily driver. Looks like the seat chaps may be good, but may slide around a bit? Is there a "great" set of seat covers that would work better/best? Looking for opinions and recommendations.
Thanks! |

Thanks! While not the best seat pic, this was taken sometime after turning 100K miles. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...64661e8d39.jpg |
I use the seat chaps from Ecklers and they work well. I only have it on the drivers side and it definitely protects the bolsters. I used to have a plastic dry cleaning bag over the seat lol. |
I have what's basically a towel that slips over the top and tuck it into the edges when I take my dog for rides

just buy new factory leather when if you wear them out.....
|
Or better yet, just support a local, good upholster shop and have your seats recovered with much better material than the factory. Any good shop worth their salt will use your covers as templates to make perfect fitting skins.

Seat covers will compromise the effectiveness of the side airbags in the event of an accident. While nobody plans to get t-boned, it does happen.

I tried some terry cloth seat covers, hated them.

For like $200 you can get some full covers that don't block any airbags, which is nice. Fabric and colors are up to you. In my daily, I ususally get something durable against spills and things. Here's an example of something: https://www.mamotorworks.com/Corvett...-pair-628648-1 |
I bought the covers from Mid America made out of wet suit material.

My 2013 GS seats look like showroom new. Put you ass in first like
an old man(which technically I am) and don't slide dow the seat. |
